Dehumidification
Dehumidification is the process of removing excess moisture from the indoor air to improve comfort and prevent the growth of mold or mildew. While all air conditioners provide some level of dehumidification during the cooling cycle, our Single-Zone systems are engineered with dedicated moisture-removal logic. By pulling humid air over a cold evaporator coil, water vapor condenses into liquid and is safely channeled away through a drain line. This is particularly vital in coastal or tropical climates where "sticky" air can make a room feel warmer than the actual thermostat setting. For larger homes, a Multi-Zone setup allows for localized humidity control in specific areas like basements or sunrooms. Maintaining an ideal relative humidity of 45% to 55% protects your furniture, electronics, and overall health. Our PTAC units also feature enhanced dehumidification modes to keep guest rooms feeling crisp and fresh. Investing in a system with superior moisture control ensures your home remains a sanctuary even during the most humid months of the year.
