Anti-Corrosive Coating

Anti-Corrosive Coating is a protective layer applied to the fins of the condenser and evaporator coils to prevent oxidation and "pitting." At OLMO, we use high-quality coatings often referred to as "Gold Fin" or "Blue Fin" to ensure your Single-Zone unit survives harsh coastal environments. Without this coating, salt air and industrial pollutants would quickly degrade the metal, leading to refrigerant leaks. This feature is a major contributor to the "Reliability" of our Multi-Zone systems. It allows the coils to shed water more effectively, which also improves the efficiency of the defrost cycle. You can find details about these coatings in the specs for our Wall Mount R410A models. Protecting the coils is the best way to prevent the need for expensive Components replacement later on. This is a standard feature designed to provide "Affordability" through long-term durability. It is especially vital for PTAC units installed in coastal hotels and resorts.
