A Braze-Free Connection is a method of joining refrigerant pipes without the use of a torch, typically using Flare Nut fittings. This is a hallmark of ductless mini-split installation, making it safer and cleaner than traditional soldering. Our Armbridge Pre-Flared Installation Kits allow for a completely braze-free setup of your Single-Zone system. This reduces the risk of fire during "Retrofit" projects in older homes with dry wood framing. Braze-free connections also prevent "oxidation" inside the copper pipes, which can happen if nitrogen isn't used during traditional brazing.
